It's All About The Details
The outside finish of the gutter is extremely important. That is why we use material from Senox, an industry leader. The baked on finish comes with a 50 year warranty! But have you ever considered the interior of the gutter? The gutter on the left has an unattractive green coating and the gutter in the middle has a standard aluminum mill finish. Both of these create a disruptive transition from the gutter to the roofing. Look closely at the gutter on the right. At Paragon Gutter, we use ShadowBAK wash coat applied material. This gives the interior of the gutter a non-reflective finish, providing the vanishing properties of a black shadow and erases the transition lines from the gutter to the roof.
Why Protect One Thing But Damage Another?
We have a rule at Paragon Gutter... If hardware is going to penetrate the exterior of a home, it MUST have a washer. An expertly designed gutter system will prevent foundation problems. It will protect the landscape around a home or business. It will prevent staining to the siding and masonry. Unfortunately, an improperly attached gutter system can lead to fascia and soffit damage.
Superior Hardware
A gutter system is under constant abuse, even if it's not raining. Constant temperature changes and wind can eventually cause a gutter to sag or in some cases, detach from a building. The proper hanger is very important. Our hangers (bottom) are installed with a maximum spacing of 24 inches and Paragon Gutter will never use an economy product (top). Especially the hanger.
3"x4" Downspouts
Some companies call them oversized, an upgrade. We call them standard. The larger downspout will drain the gutter faster during heavy rains, preventing the gutter from filling up and overflowing. In some cases, a single 3x4 downspout can be installed instead of two smaller 2x3 downspouts. Smaller 2x3 downspouts are not only less attractive but are very vulnerable to clogging from leaves or pine needles.
